Technical Achievement Awards

The IEEE VGTC Technical Awards program recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to the community through their research.

The VGTC Technical Awards chair for Virtual Reality is Arie Kaufman. VGTC members may nominate individuals by contacting him at vgtc-vr-awards@vgtc.org.

The VGTC Technical Awards chair for Visualization is Bill Lorensen. VGTC members may nominate individuals by contacting him at vgtc-vis-awards@vgtc.org.


The Visualization Career Award

The IEEE VGTC Visualization Career Award was established in 2004. It is given every year to an individual to honor that person’s lifetime contribution to visualization.

2011 Frits Post Delft University of Technology
In recognition of sustained seminal contributions to the field especially in flow visualization, the international impact he made promoting visualization as a scientific field, and establishing early educational programs in visualization.
